November 13, Over the last week the sun went down on 2 lovely ladies. We can not thank Denise enough for the love she gave to Chanel (Smelly Nelly!) who passed in her sleep @ 13.2 years. Nor Julie & Neil for the love given to Folly until her last moments @ 12.9 years. Running free in green fields, no doubt chasing birds. Also joining them is Leroy 11.9 years much loved and missed by Jeanette, and Oscar 9 years missed by Caroline and her family. Thank you everyone for the love you have shown your Collies.
On a happier note, Dogs shows have restarted in New South Wales and Jade has wasted no time collecting her first lot of points and a nice fringie for Puppy in Group. Congratulations to Wayne and Louise.

October 20th, We are happy to announce the long awaited litter from Harriet - 2 gorgeous Sable boys. :) . Yes if you look through our litters to date for 2021 we have had 12 boys and just the 1 girl mother nature can be very interesting at times.

October 15, Have received some lovely photos from proud puppy owners I have added a collection for you to enjoy.
August 04 All the babies are happy in their new homes, Leo is staying on here at Carluke, it is a while since we have kept on a dog puppy!
Shows are pretty hit and miss at the moment, so we are taking advantage of those that are run and thankful to the committees that are making them possible - on the weekend just past in glorious Winter sunshine we attended 4 shows in 2 days - Karolyn picked up another 2 BCC to put her over halfway to her title and Sia 2 Best of Breeds. Baby Cally only did 2 shows to win her class at both and 1 Baby puppy of breed it is nice to see Baby puppy Collies out and about at shows.

July 15 Well we have managed to make it to a couple of dog shows - young Karolyn has done well collecting 3 bitch challenges, 2 Best of Breeds and an Intermediate in group award - she is well and truly on her way to her title now, Sia has been out and showing her the ropes and collected 3 Best of Breeds - she is well on the way to her Grand Championship. Our new baby Cally has debuted with Baby puppy of breed over her brothers, hopefully a couple more shows in her future. Elton also made his first appearance in Minor puppy class winning MPOB -
Our babies have started to spread their wings with 2 leaving in one day. we wish Louis and Leon all the best in their new and loving homes. Leo will be staying on with us and Levi is looking for his forever home

June 13, Congratulations to our NSW babies that have been out and about in the showring, Jade has added a couple more Baby puppy in group awards to her name whilst Estelle is now on holiday to do some growing up and filling out - much like her own mother needed to do at the same age. Here in Victoria we are back in lockdown or under restrictions so we are still waiting to come back out again after babies, not that the weather in the last couple of days have been anything like enticing - I think we have some dogs with web feet!
We have a new addition and we can not thank Samantha Buckley enough for letting us add young Cally to our ever growing number of Tricolours :) - she is Sagas grand daughter and as she doesn't want to have any more babies and her sister Butterfly only gave us dogs this time, Cally will join her cousin Bambi in continuing our bitchline from Nova.
May 19, Congratulations are in order for Kaye Reeves over the weekend with her Izkaze Knockabout Love - Blacque a son of Ross, after an unsettling start to his show career he is coming together nicely for Kaye and they are picking up points nicely, his older half sister by Oliver - Izkaze La Coquette is back out and well over half way to her title as well. The 3 babies pictured below all picked up Baby puppy of Breed wins over the weekend.
At home we have welcomed the safe arrival of Butterfly's last babies 4 boys by Ross born by C-section on Tuesday May 18.

May 10, The babies in New South Wales have been out and about at shows during April/May - Estelle is learning the ropes and now that her adopted brother has titled promises to be a good girl and start behaving :) Jade on the other hand is performing like a professional and has recently picked up a Baby puppy in group award. Back here in Victoria Elton has a couple of shows coming up and we wish Katrina and him every success and fun. Thank you to their loving owners for bringing up their babies so well.
On the home front No shows have been attended since late April.
April 27th, Anzac day saw our last show for a while Prim at her 3rd show for the year taking out Best of Breed making it 3/3 so a successful return for her - when we return needless to say she will be out of coat :) Sia also won her Best of Breed sadly the only one of her breed. Bambi had to settle for a 2nd place, but that is OK as it was to her half sister who then went onto Reserve bitch CC.
Jade - Carluke Private Dancer (Lyam * Faith litter) make a successful debut to the showring winning Baby puppy of Breed at each of her baby shows, this makes the 3rd baby placed in a show home have debuted with blue ribbon success, we hope it continues for them all.

April 12, Easter has been and gone, we attended 2 local shows here in Victoria for some lovely results - at Lang Lang under Mr Chris Evans Prim made another appearance for Best of Breed, Bambi was Reserve CC to her for the second time and Sia won her Best of Breed. Onto Easter Monday Karolyn made her 2021 debut and collected Bitch Challenge and Runner up to BOB, Sia was Best of Breed Smooth and went onto win Open in Group. Our last baby also went to his new home but not before winning his Baby puppy of Breed, we are hopeful that Elton will make many more showring appearances.
March 21 - Last Sunday we ventured up to Ballarat for a dog show, we had great fun with Prim winning Best of Breed Collie Rough (her first show in nearly 1.5 years) Bambi Ru Best of Breed to her at her 2nd show & Sia taking out Bitch CC and Ru BOB to her Uncle in the Smooth Collies. Rough Dog CC was Robbie a son of Ross * Giselle of Samantha Buckley so definately all in the family.
March 13, 2021 - Time is certainly flying, Faith and Lyams puppies have flown the coup and we are getting photos of them settling into their new homes which is great. Below is a small selection of puppies and dogs in their new homes enjoying themselves. :)
Shows are finally starting to open across Victoria and happily we have been successful at the few we have attended - Sia to date has been the only Smooth Collie shown as has collected her Best of Breed at them all - she is very out of coat at the moment. Saga has ventured to 2 shows and we are happy to report that she has gained the final 2 points for her title. Bambi has debuted to pick up her first points.
We extend our congratulations to Estelle - Carluke Love A Poser (Baxter * Iris) who has had a successful debut in the show ring.

The Sable boy below is lovely Buddy, he is now 12 years old. Some of you may remember him from the lovely puppy photo that I have used a number of times. Buddy lives in West Australia with the Keane family and is a son of Tom (CH Carluke Name Dropping) and Fancy (CH Carluke Fancy That)
February 10, 2021 - Well what a busy time we have been having. Faiths first litter arrived right on time January 5 - 6 lovely boys and 1 gorgeous girl, they are now 5 weeks old running around like all puppies should. Iris's babies have nearly all flown the nest just the last 2 that leave this week. Another new arrival is our Arabian filly foal 3 weeks early as I write this she is not meant to be born! her expected due date is Feb 13th luckily for her we were ready and only just finished the hay.
We have been to our first show where Sia collected BOB and Saga was RCC. Here are a small selection of photos that new owners have sent us.
January 01, 2021, Well what was that... 2020, probably etched on everyone's mind for a good while yet. Certainly not a 'usual year' by any stretch of the imagination!
Dog shows were cancelled in Victoria on March 15 2020. We have been shut out of other states of Australia for varying periods of time from 4 months - 6 months and are just now as I type this being banned again from several states. All this makes promoting well bred, healthy, purebred animals a test for human fortitude. Demand skyrocketed as people found themselves with spare time - lack of companionship and unfortunately we have had to disappoint so many.
On the brighter side we did manage to complete a title - Dion - CH Carluke Myheart Willgo On finished her title in early March 2020. Sia - CH Foxbell X Factor had a phenomenal run in the first 3 months of the year and is half way to her Grand title. Whilst Saga - Carluke Noroomonmydanzcard the fates seem to want her to languish 2 points short of her title (apparently I can not count!) The only other girl to make an outing was Karolyn - Carluke This is Me made a couple of trips for some handy wins.
Again puppies have unfortunately been hit N miss, along with planned breeding being changed to suit the Covid environment.
Will 2021 be any different ? I will let you know in 365 days time. Keep smiling .
