December 14 A busy week just gone. Teeny and I took off for Armidale to do 5 shows in 3 days! madness Armidale is an almost 16 hour drive for us, made longer by flood affected/damaged roads but it was lovely to catch up with Anneke, Pasta and Estelle again :) The reason for the travel apart from this was to try and finish Karolyn's title! Mission accomplished on the first day, so she is now CH Carluke This Is Me, Leo collected 2 nice Best of Breeds, Dixie 2 Bitch CC's and Estelle 1 CC. Sia the only Smooth Collie collected all 5 best of Breeds.

October 12, Starting with a sad announcement the decision was made to send Fab to the rainbow bridge, his arthritis finally got the better of his normally bright and active personality, he lefts us with tears and memories on October 03, 2022 a dog never to be experienced again. Thank you to Brian and Odile for sending us this lovely boy.
He continues to live on however, on the 7th of October we welcomed his Great, great grand children and then on the 10th of October more grand children so he echoes through the Kennels still hear at Carluke.
These puppies can now be seen on their webpages In the Nursery Leo & Harriet and Oliver & Dion. Quite a sombre time as for three of these it is the last of their breeding career but for Leo it is just beginning. Whilst creating these pages I accidently deleted the Lyam * Dion litter and can not seem relocate it. Sorry.

September 08 Four of the doggies and I thought we'd take a little trip to Adelaide for the Royal, it sure feels like a long time since the last one so we were all very excited (we were ready to park before the gates opened ) Three of them (all the Roughs) had never been to a Royal before and for 2 off them it was there first showing away from home, but they ALL performed like professionals especially at accepting the pats and love from the spectators!

Karolyn - Carluke This Is Me made a return to the showring following coat drop and is now half way to her title, hopefully this year once she recoats post puppies we will be able to finish it off. Sia - CH Foxbell X Factor has proven to be ever reliable and continued on her merry way culminating her career this year with BEST IN SHOW at the Collie Club of Victoria Championship show, under ex breeder/judge Mrs Lorraine Neilson (Ravelin) she also topped the DOL pointscore Breed Challenge for most CC points Collie Smooth over the last 12 months (which included a 4 month abandonment of shows in VIC) Bambi - Carluke Ohlala Jadore came out at the beginning of the year won her first points then played bridesmaid to kennel mate Prim - Ch Carluke Diamentes At Dusk who attended a whole 4 shows for 3 Best of Breed and 1 BCC with RuBOB at the CCV Championship show - all these shows were judged by ex breeder/judges. 2021 also saw the arrival of a new girl in the kennel, though with breeding that is steeped with our history Cally - Kirrieloch Oh Calamity (AI) arrived in May and this little charmer cast her coat early to play in her summer bikini but she loves the ring and it loves her so it seems, to date she is undefeated in her bitch classes and has her first CC points. The last new member to the team Leo - Carluke Falling In Love no baby shows for him ude to lockdown he went straight into Minor winning Mnior puppy in show at the Collie Club Open show, then backed it up with Reserve Challenge to his uncle (Callys borther) at the Championship show, the following day we also collected his first points.

January 05, 2022 OK, so NO 2021 was not much different to 2020 Melbourne and Victoria have been through the longest lockdown - Covid-19 related than anywhere else in the world!
Dog shows have been an on again, off again affair - so we had puppies instead! Starting on this day 12 months ago we have meet many lovely Collie owners some new to the breed and others returning. We hope that everyone that has acquired a puppy from us over the last 12 months have enjoyed and felt enriched by their new companions. We have enjoyed receiving the updates about your puppy and where possible I have included many of the photos you have sent on the website. Whilst we do hope to have puppies during 2022 after our current litter we are hoping to have a little break and catch up on some sleep and household chores.
