January 08, 2025 Lovely mail for the girls Sia Dogzonline No 1 Show dog of the year Australia - Collie Smooth. Cally No 1 Show dog of the year Victoria- Collie Rough
January 02, 2025
Wow 2025 already, it feels like only yesterday I was recapping on the year 2023 and here I am about to do it all again!
We have lost some pretty big personalities in the last 12 months and their loss is felt by our greater family and reflected in just how few shows we have ventured to. Every night we look to the heavens knowing Aliya, Nanette, Meme, Eva, Naya and Asta have immeasurably enriched our lives and enlarged our capacity to love. Indeed without them, the high level of success we have reached over the past 12 months would never have happened. So every night as the stars light the sky I say a private thank you for what we have gained.

The calendar shows that we attended 27 shows last year starting in April and finishing in December. In that time we can list the following
New Champion Carluke Kissed By Faberge - after taking a fright at the indoor venue in Cranbourne with limited showing he finished at the East Gippsland circuit in September. Harriet's 3rd Champion and Leo's 2nd
New Champion Carluke Fabulous Me - finishing her title for a very devoted owner Bronwen Cramond (Craeburn Kennels) the 2nd from this litter to title. Olivers 12th Champion and Karolyn's 2nd
Champion Carluke Fabulously Fancy TK.S- has started in the Tricks arena gaining her TK.S and already with passes to her TK.N awards. Whilst still excelling in the conformation ring taking out RCC at both the EKKA and Royal Melbourne Show.
Grand Champion Foxbell X Factor (Sia)- elevated herself to the rare order of BEST IN SHOW (ALL BREEDS) Smooth Collies, under specialist judge Mr C Woodrow (QLD) she also added her 3rd Collie Club of Victoria BEST IN SHOW under Mrs S Wildman (WA) and gained her final CACIB to be the first C.I.B titled Smooth Collie (pending approval) Shortlisted to the final 8 at the EKKA - placing 4th BEST IN GROUP then making the final 8 again at the Melbourne Royal under specialist Mrs C Mulcahy (Ire)
Champion Kirrieloch Oh Calamity (Cally)- came out and had a play, winning her 1st CACIB, RCC & RBOB at the Collie Club of Victoria Championship show show and Runner up Best in Group (Group 2nd) under specialist Ms B Petkevica (Latvia). Not forgetting BCC & RBOB at the EKKA.
Champion Carluke Kissed By Harriet IDylan)- Is coming along nicely, he collected BOB at both the EKKA and the EKKA group show being shortlisted for BIG at both. RCC at the Collie club of Victoria Championship show (his 2nd)
Champion Carluke Falling In Love (Leo)- popped out a couple of time for some nice group shortlists. but it has been a bigger pleasure watching his newest babies starting to take there own footholds in the show/performance arena
Carluke Hands Offmy Tiara (Feliz) - I always seem to enter her at the wrong end of her coat, this year was no exception! But she has collected some more points, hopefully 2025 will see us more in sync.
Carluke Frou Frou Revue (Coco)- Such a gorgeous girl, she is within a breath of her title, a girl that needed time to mature, I am pretty pleased with how she is looking for 2025.
Champion Carluke Private Dancer (Jade)- Has continued to win nicely for Wayne and Louise Shipman, we keep our finger's crossed for the pitter patter of paws for them in 2025.
Champion Carluke Love A Poser(Estelle)- has unfortunately been desexed following complications, but she is still a much loved member of Anneke's collection of Collies.
Carluke The Naked Truth (Cara)- Family commitments have kept Cara from the ring this year and there is the chance of puppy paws for her too.
Now looking to the OVERSEAS representatives.

NZ Champion Carluke Started Witha Kiss (Cruz) - Runner Up Rough Collie Show Dog of the Year (North Island), and 4th in the National competition (both North and South Islands) (Dogzonline pointscore) Got to be happy when Cruz only did four shows this year! He now has his first puppies in the ring and some already have class in group awards and challenges to their names.
New Zealand Champion Fairenvy Diamentes N Silva (Eden) - 1st Rising Star Collie Rough & 1st Rising Star Working Grp South Island - Dogzonline pointscore. Brother Fairenvy That's All Folks (Jay)- 3rd Rising Star Collie Rough & sister Fairenvy Gotta Have Faith (Faith) 6th Rising star puppy - not commencing in the showring until August - we have enjoyed watching these babies of Prim - Aust & NZ CH Carluke Diamentes At Dusk grow over the year
As mentioned above CH Carluke Falling in Love has some lovely children out and about from the Cayano litter now over 12 months of age and Kirrieloch babies that have just turned 6 months, we will enjoy watching them grow and flourish. Talking of puppies he is also a grand father now - Nerina Rizzo having a lovely litter in Queensland from her Carluke Charmed Bya Kiss, these babies are almost 8 weeks old and as cute as can be.
A 2nd year with no babies at Carluke we are definitely hoping that this year may be the one. We have received lots of photos over the last 12 months of dogs that have gone to family homes it is so lovely to see them so well loved.
